Canada Day 2011 - Wilson Fields

Canada Day 2011 – Wilson Fields, Lindsay, ON

Although quiet during the day, thousands showed up for the annual fireworks display. Photos include a few daytime shots and some failed pictures of the fireworks. It was tough keeping still while mosquitoes feasted on my flesh. I finally opted to take the final minutes of the show as video. Soundtrack has some language as drunks don’t know when to STFU!

Ken Reid Conservation Area

Ken Reid Conservation Area / Kenrei Park

I didn’t get too deep into the trails in the conservation area due to overcast skies bringing out every flesh-eating insect in the area. Gallery includes photos of the trail leading there and also of Kenrei Park — the place where I grew up. (Too bad it was garbage day there). It blows my mind how many trees have grown within my lifetime.

Trails & Parks Within Lindsay, Ontario

This gallery features pictures from some of the local trails and parks from around town. It’s hard to believe some of these areas exist within town limits — so peaceful you almost forget where you are. Some pics got a little bleached from the sun as it was a very bright day.
