Just had to return to this spot again. The Omemee Trestle offers a spectacular view. Spent over an hour there just taking in the view.

East on the Trans-Canada Trail – Bike

[12-Jun-13] Today On The Bike – Omemee!

Headed East on the Trans-Canada Trail this time and took a quick trip to Omemee. A huge black cloud threatened to ruin the trip but it eventually moved on leaving me with sunshine for the most part.

West on the Trans-Canada Trail

West on the Trans-Canada Trail – Bike

[9-Jun-13] Today On The Bike

Headed West on the Trans-Canada Trail – bicycling this time. This is a loop I’ve trimmed back from 60km (last year) to 45km (for now). We haven’t had very nice cycling weather lately so it was nice to get out again. It was a perfect riding day. :)

West on the Trans-Canada Trail – Early Spring 2013

Headed west on the Trans-Canada Trail. Another sunny spring day with nice warm temperatures. The melting snow was a bit tough to walk in but a good workout for the legs. :)

Ken Reid Conservation Area – Early Spring 2013

First trip to the Ken Reid Conservation Area in 2013. Still lots of snow on the ground but was a nice warm, sunny day.

This gallery contains many photos from my day-long hike around Ken Reid Conservation Area on Mar 08, 2013.

Ken Reid Conservation Area – Early Winter

What a great time of year. Just enough snow to make everything look amazing while leaving the trails easy to get around on. There isn’t even ice on the river or ponds.

This gallery contains photos from my day-long hike around Ken Reid Conservation Area on Dec 06, 2011.

Canada Day 2011 – Wilson Fields

Canada Day 2011 – Wilson Fields, Lindsay, ON

Although quiet during the day, thousands showed up for the annual fireworks display. Photos include a few daytime shots and some failed pictures of the fireworks. It was tough keeping still while mosquitoes feasted on my flesh. I finally opted to take the final minutes of the show as video. Soundtrack has some language as drunks don’t know when to STFU!

Ken Reid Conservation Area

Ken Reid Conservation Area / Kenrei Park

I didn’t get too deep into the trails in the conservation area due to overcast skies bringing out every flesh-eating insect in the area. Gallery includes photos of the trail leading there and also of Kenrei Park — the place where I grew up. (Too bad it was garbage day there). It blows my mind how many trees have grown within my lifetime.

Trails & Parks

Trails & Parks Within Lindsay, Ontario

This gallery features pictures from some of the local trails and parks from around town. It’s hard to believe some of these areas exist within town limits — so peaceful you almost forget where you are. Some pics got a little bleached from the sun as it was a very bright day.
